Service Description

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals (DSF) Level 2 builds off the skills that you developed in the DSF Level 1 Course. You will receive an introduction to more hands-on live-fire drills with more cognitive thinking exercises to do before engaging targets. This training will provide you with practices to build your response time by developing your intuitive defensive shooting skills to help you survive a Dynamic Critical Incident. Focus areas within this course include: • On-range Training in Crucial Handgun Skills • Counter Ambush Training • Balance of Speed & Precision • Stance & Movement • Grip & Trigger Control • Presentation from Ready & Holster • Shooting from Retention & Emergency Reloading • Diagnosing Your Misses • Defensive Shooting Drills & Simulations • All Work Will Be Done From Concealment • Reloading & Malfunction Drills • Shooting with Cover/Concealment • Shooting on the Move • Family Member Protection Concepts Class Prerequisites: • U.S. Citizen or Authorized U.S. Permanent Resident • Twenty-one (21) Years of Age or Older • Valid Pistol License • Completion of DSF Level 1 • Completion of Online eLearning Course Equipment and Supplies Required: • Firearm - Semi-Auto Pistol (no revolvers) • Four (4) or More Magazines • OWB or IWB Holster For Firearm • Magazine Holder w/2 Magazine Capacity • 300 Rounds of Ammunition (minimum) • Eye & Ear Protection Designed for Shooting Sports • Pen & Paper NONE OF THESE TYPES OF HOLSTERS ARE ALLOWED: Serpa, Ankle, Bra, Purse, Cross Draw, Pocket, or Shoulder
