NRA Carry Concealed Weapon
Service Description
The NRA CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) builds on the skills already learned in the NRA Basic Pistol course. Participants must be able to show mastery of the necessary skills of safe gun handling and shooting to maximize their learning in the class. The NRA CCW is a course for intermediate shooters to learn necessary defensive shooting skills, improve knowledge, and attitude essential to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. NRA CCW students must demonstrate shooting proficiency via a score of 80/100 or 80% to receive a Course Completion Certificate. Focus areas within this course include: • Gun Safety Rules • Shooting Range Safety • Marksmanship • Basic Defensive Pistol Skills • Drawing from Concealment • Loading & Stoppage Remediation • Mindset • Carry Modes & Pistol Concealment • Legal Aspects of Concealed Carry & Self Defense Class Prerequisites: • U.S. Citizen or Authorized U.S. Permanent Resident • Twenty-one (21) Years of Age or Older • NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate or Valid Pistol License Equipment and Supplies Required: • Firearm - Semi-Auto Pistol (no revolvers) • Four (4) or More Magazines • OWB (off waistband) or IWB (in waistband) holster • Gun Belt • Magazine Holder w/2 Magazine Capacity • 300 Rounds of Ammunition (minimum) • Eye & Ear Protection Designed for Shooting Sports • Pen & Paper NONE OF THESE TYPES OF HOLSTERS ARE ALLOWED: Serpa, Ankle, Bra, Purse, Cross Draw, Pocket, or Shoulder
